Weifeng Tangerine-picking activity 2021  

In mid-November 2021, Zhongshan Weifeng organized an Tangerine-picking activity for employees and their families in Xinhui, Jianmen City, Guangdong province. The purpose was to appreciate Xinhui tangerine peel culture and enhance the cohesion of the company.

Xinhui Tangerine peel is a native product of Xinhui, Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province. On October 25, 2006, the former AqSIQ, General Adminnistration of Quality Supervision approved the implementation of geographical indication product protection for "Xinhui Tangerine peel". On November 15, 2019, it was selected into China agricultural Brand directory China International geographical indication products.

Tangerine peel has a very high medicinal value, suitable for abdominal distention and constipation, anorexia appetizer, phlegm relieving cough. It is also a traditional spice and seasoning products. Every winter when the new mandarin orange is mature, the citrus is picked and the peel is divided into three pieces to be peeled and dried in the sun. The meat is discarded, and the skin is more expensive than the meat. After drying, it is kept in a jar, and then it is taken out for drying more than twice a year. The longer the time to store the better. Those less than three years of storage called peel or Tangerine skins, three years or more just called tangerine peel.

Around half past ten in the morning, we arrived at the citrus fruit field.The fruit yard is located on a low hillside, and the fruit is yellow and green. The hardworking fruit farmers are peeling the Tangerine in the , the yard. They do it three pieces for each fruit., and then put the peel on the flat mat drying. The children hopped and cheered when they saw the tangerine trees and fruits. They picked up the baskets and scissors, rushed to the trees. While the adults help to protect and take photos. One hour later, everyone returned with a full load. When we arrived home, we decide no only to to keep the skins, but also the pulp for eating.

Bicycling Activity Zhuhai, 2021

At the end of October 2021, it is crisp and pleasant in deep autumn in Guangdong, China. Mr. He Yichang, General Manager of Zhongshan Weifeng Food Co., Ltd. together with his colleagues participated in the 2021 Zhuhai "China Sports Lottery Cup" Nanyu (refers to Southern Guangdong) Xiangshan ancient post Road cycling activity.

Nanyue ancient post Road was a major route for Chinese Han people in Chinese Central Plains to enter Guangdong in history. It was a major way connecting Guangdong and Macao and an important node of "Maritime Silk Road". This activity route passes through many ancient post roads and villages, including the Former Residence of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, the pioneer of Chinese Revolution, Tang Guoan, the first president of Tsinghua University, etc. The riders will ride bicycles through the history, taste the ancient village customs of Nanyu post roads, experience the southern Guangdong customs with traditional characteristics;

Through this cycling activity, zhuhai characteristic cycling routes will be created, and the sports concept of combining zhuhai ancient post road culture with cycling will be publicized. Promoting the rural leisure tourism, so that the citizens can feel the new style of urban development and the harmonious coexistence between man and nature, man and city, enhance the sense of urban happiness and master of the city, promote the humanistic spirit of the city, enhance the taste of urban culture.

The participation of Mr. He and his colleagues has initiated the corporate culture of Zhongshan Weifeng, which is people-oriented, advocates healthy lifestyle, produces and supplies healthy food for the world.

  A Tour To Shibansha Island 

At the end of April 2021, it is becoming hot in Guangdong Province, China. The staffs of the Export Department, Zhongshan Weifeng arrange a special sightseeing tour to Shibansha Island.

The beautiful Shibansha Island is located in Jiangmen City, 1 hour's drive from Zhongshan. It is a football-shaped island, built up of sand and silt. Everybody needs to take a short ferry ride to and from the island. The island is originally a small fishing village, and the residents used to make a living by fishing, but now the young people prefer leaving rather than staying. The island has been developed into a tourist attraction. There are many wall paintings depicting the production and life of fishermen on the walls along the village roads. The Shibansha Island attract visitors with its unique Tanka culture, fishing village style, local delicate seafood, the island landform vegetation. There are also many typical hostels and shops emerging. We can see many web celebrities in the Island.

In Shibansha Island, we stroll randomly around the village, busy, taste the delicious local foods, visit the Tanka culture museum, view and emulate the change of the small fishing village, which is different from other ordinary villages and even more different from cities.

 The field visit of seaweed

From March 14 to 17,2021, ZHONGSHAN GAODAO HOUSE NORI&FOODS CO., LTD. and five people visited Jiangsu Province, the production base of seaweed, and successfully completed the bidding project for raw materials of dried seaweed in 2021.

Through this field visit, we have a comprehensive understanding of the breeding process of seaweed, processing into pieces, seaweed trade fair and so on. The culture of seaweed includes semi-floating raft culture and shallow sea pillar culture. The cultivation and harvest period of seaweed is from the middle and late November to the middle and late April of the following year. From January to early May of each year, Jiangsu Province will hold 5-6 dry seaweed bidding fair, as a platform for bidding raw materials for secondary processing factories, which is favored by enterprises. This inspection we plan 2021 customer's annual order demand to carry on the bidding dry seaweed raw material project, provides the customer with the higher quality, the high protein, the low fat sea moss food.

 DUKU ROAD CYCLING

The last week of September 2020, Mr. He, General Manager of Zhongshan Weifeng Foodstuffs Co., completed a challenging and exciting Duku(Kuche - Duzishan) Road Cycling in Xinjiang, northwest China.

The journey is about 560 kilometers long, the highest elevation 3400 meters, the vertical height 3000meters, experiencing spring, summer, autumn and winter seasons, crossing the Tianshan Mountain and nearly 10 rivers, climbing over 4 ice layers, appreciating 11 kinds of landscapes (grasslands, snow-capped mountains, forests, flower seas, lakes, canyons, glacier, yadang landform, Kaste landform, Keziliya landform, hongshan stone forest and Scenery of Potala Palace).

Driving is too fast and hiking is too slow, then cycling might be a better way to experience the unique scenery on the way and feel the ethnic customs of Kazakhstan in the northern and southern Xinjiang.

Duku Road Cycling is a journey to appreciate the wonderful natural scenery with willpower and healthy body, which embodies the spirit of Zhongshan Weifeng of nature appreciating and life loving.

 2020 Parent-child trip to Xiacuan Island 

Due to the Covid-19 in 2020, many activities of people around the world have been restricting. The good news is that thanks to the joint efforts of the Chinese government and the people, the epidemic in China has been kept under effective control since April 2020, and the resumption of work and production is proceeding in an orderly manner.

August 2020, hot summer time, shining sunshine, blue sky and white clouds, a perfect time for an island tour. Zhongshan Weifeng Foodstuffs Co., Ltd. organized the staff of the Export Department and their families to carry out the long-awaited parent-child tour to Xiachuan Island. We drove about 100 kilometers to the dock and then took a ferry for 45 minutes to reach the island tourist area. The sunset, morning glow, beach, blue sea, sea wind, waves, coconut trees, children playing in the water, beautiful ladies, handsome men, delicious seafood, music bar...fascinating and charming pictures of the island.

The 2-day seaside tour help us relax, improve parent-child relationship, build a harmonious and united team to provide efficient and professional services to our customers.

2019 WORLD FOOD MOSCOW

The 28th Russian Food Exhibition World Food Moscow ended successfully from September 24 to 27, 2019.
